PAT Testing – More Than Stickers

There are time that we are asked to leave PAT test stickers on a job site, so they can be applied to future items. PAT testing is far more than simply putting stickers on appliances that are tested. Besides the visual inspection of the appliance for damage, an electrical test is carried out each appliance to determine if it is electrically safe to use. In fact, the certificate that is given after the testing is completed is what is most important. The certificate gives the proof that the appliance meets electrical limits for use. Any one can purchase pass stickers online, but it take a properly trained technician to determine its safety.
